What is it about product launches?

Seriously?  They seem to be all people are doing now.  Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, Andy Jenkins, Mike Koenings, Brendon Burchard….and any more you can think of.

It’s like they have all got together and planned when they will release products…..cough.

So why are these top internet marketers doing it?  Well because it works!  That is why they do it.

They use launches to build relationships and lists.  It’s a model they have refined.  There is software that will do it for you.  There are wordpress plugins that will do it for you.  There are people who will do it for you.

But, it’s best to know how to do it yourself.

Some would say these launches are the problem we have to stop, I don’t agree.  I think product launches teach you loads of stuff.  I opt in and then learn from the emails they send.  Then when I don’t want to learn anything further I opt out.  If product launches are your way to make money then you might want to check out Brendon Burchard’s webinar tomorrow.

Adsense $100K Blueprint – Using Adsense to make an income

I have never really made a lot of money with Adsense.  It seems I am not the only one!

So it used to really irked me when I read someone who would say “Hey, I make $2000 a month with Adsense”.

Now that doesn’t bother me because I realised that 1. It doesn’t matter how much someone else is making 2. Adsense is not really something I have tried to make money doing.

So I am not an expert in it and really don’t try and teach people how to do it.  However, I know that a lot of money can be made using Adsense.

You need faith and belief to build a blog that gets readers – How to get faith and keep with it

When I first started this blog I didn’t really have any idea about what it took to make a blog successful.  What did that even mean to me?

I didn’t have a clue!

Should I use other people’s posts?  Use PRL content?  Write all my own posts?  Pay people to write posts?

Should I have Adsense ads on it?  What should I talk about?  What theme should I use?

Really that is what I asked myself everyday.  Pretty tiring thought process.  And while I was thinking about the blog I wasn’t doing anything to make it successful.

I was stuck.  I was letting all the detail get in the way of doing what I should have been doing.

So I started to write on my blogs.  Sometimes I would write 1 a month and other times I would write 3 or 4 posts a month.  Nothing consistent.

Yaro Starak and Rosalind Gardner saves the day!

Well sort of.  I purchased Rosalind’s Super Affiliate Handbook and read all of it.  Then applied about 3 things from it.  Fail.

Next I purchased Yaro Starak’s Blog Profit Blueprint.  Well that has a lot of good stuff.  Of which…I did about 2 things!  Fail.

You see while this was going on I had created many other blogs.  Blogs that used PLR, blogs that used auto content creation (not good) blogs that I was doing adwords with.  You name it I tried it.  Did any of them make money?  Some.  A little.

While I was doing all of this I was also involved in some other offline business that took more of my time.  One evening I said to my wife that I had had enough of trying to make any of these blogs work and would stop.  She was very happy I can tell you.

I was staying up all night trying to just make some money.

A couple of month’s passed and slowly I started to write on a couple of the blogs that I really wanted to do something with.  They were the blogs that were about things I am interested in.

You can guess what happened next right?

I started to see my readership increase.  Not a lot but enough to know that people wanted to read the blogs.  So what was different?

My belief.

You see when I was trying to make money from them I was very despondent when I looked at my reports each day and realised I wasn’t making enough to even cover the hosting.  Pretty bad huh?  I know you know the feeling.

Well yes.  But once I forgot about making money and just started to write because I wanted to then my blogs got people to them.

Now that I had a little bit of traffic I wrote more and more.  My belief started to change.  The more I believed the more I wrote.  And then I started making money.  Not a lot but an amount that was something.

What then happened is interesting. I started to write on this blog more also.  (Hence you are reading this!).

Webaffiliatetools.com was just one of those blogs that I had installed and worked on a bit. Done some videos and didn’t really know if I wanted to do anything with it.

But you guys made comments so I wrote more.  Now I am not saying it is anything like www.copyblogger.com or www.Entrepreneur-journey.com but it’s enough for me to want to keep doing it.

I don’t make loads of money from internet marketing but I do make some and it’s enough to be able to show other people how I do it.

And this is key.  Now I have belief I want to do more, share more and show more.  I want you to get value from what I write here.

So the three things to know to get belief: -

  1. Write about things you know about and are passionate about
  2. Write consistently.  At least 2 times a week (You will notice I don’t always do that! but I really should)
  3. Don’t do this for money.  Forget the money and do it for the fun and what you are giving people

So if you are starting out on the internet and want to know if you will have what it takes to make it then this post should tell you that you do.  If you have a blog and you are fed up with it not working then belief is what you need.

You need to write about things that you are interested in.  Don’t worry if it is very specific.  Just write from the heart and have belief that people will want to read it.
